Our City Slicker Pellet Stove provides 8 hours of heat and generates even and consistent heat. This stove operates without electricity and is gravity fed. This system generates its own air flow and has a patented jet air system. This stove is made from galvanized steel and comes with a patented air cooled bottom that is almost impossible to burn through. It is packable and easy to transport. Stove measures 15″W x 27.5″L x 13.5″D and includes the burner, hopper, 96″ pipe and legs. Stove Jack/Pipe Size 5″ The City Slicker Pellet Stove does well for heating a 16×24 tent.
The City Slicker Pellet Stove is every camp cook’s dream providing consistent even heat. The hopper holds about 20 lbs. of pellets and a 40 lb. bag of pellets will from 12-14 hours of nice even heat. Normal burn time is 6-8 hours. Pellet burner allows ash to fall into stove. Good pellets make about 2 cups of ash per pellet bag. Pellet burner is approximately 2″ above bottom of stove to avoid quick ash build-up on the burner. You do not need a damper for the pellet stoves as they need all the air they can get. City Slicker Pellet Stove has an air intake adjustment on door. You adjust the heat by adjusting pellet flow lever. The pellet burner slides in with clip fastener. The slide door covers the pellet burner hole when pellet burner is not used. By removing the burner, you can within one minute convert the pellet stove into a wood burning stove. A spark arrestor and damper should not be used on a stoves burning pellets. NO spark arrestor is needed or required when burning with pellets as there are no sparks.
It is good to clean the burner once a day or every other day and use high quality premium pellets as they work best. Most premium pellets are made from hardwood and burn cleaner, longer and hotter in tent pellet stoves. Make suer your stove pipe extends past tent ridge to provide a good draft. When burning pellets keep tent pellet stove door air input totally closed.
